Fajer Mushtaq

Fajer Mushtaq is the co-founder and CEO of Oxyle AG – a 2020 ETH spin-off delivering a technology that eliminates toxic pollutants from water in a sustainable, cost-effective manner. This innovative clean technology start-up has won several international accolades such as the SEIF Award for Social Innovation and the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge (‘Energy & Environment’ category).Mushtaq did a bachelor’s in electrical and electronic engineering at Aston University (UK) and a master’s in micro and nanosystems at ETH Zurich. She also graduated from ETH Zurich in 2019 with a PhD on the use of intelligent nanomaterials in environmental remediation – which was the catalyst for establishing Oxyle AG. She has picked up notable business acumen from various programmes and workshops.
