From Switzerland for Switzerland

Globalisation, de-coupling or de-risking. Cooperation between the world's regions is changing. In future technologies such as photovoltaics, semiconductors and artificial intelligence, the global powers of the USA and China are dominating. How Swiss (family) companies are keeping their roots, developing their business and securing value creation in Switzerland.

What characterises Swiss family businesses, what distinguishes them from others, what responsibilities do they bear? What changes have they had to and still have to face? Family businesses form the backbone of our economy, as they are demonstrably more sustainable. Around 90% of all companies in Switzerland are family businesses. Over 3 million employees in Switzerland work in a family business. In addition, family businesses contribute around 60% of GDP.
