Marcel Dobler

Free Democratic Party (FDP) member of the National Council and digitec founder

After an apprenticeship as an electronic engineer with a professional qualification, Marcel Dobler completed his studies in computer science at the Rapperswil University of Applied Sciences. During his studies, he and two friends founded the company digitec, which he led as co-CEO for 14 years. The company, which was launched from plans made in a garage, became Switzerland’s largest online shop within a few years, and today it generates nearly CHF 700 million in sales. Dobler is a member of the jury of the Swiss Technology Award and was elected to the Swiss National Council in 2015.
