Handelskammer beider basel

The Basel Chamber of Commerce having more than 2’100 member companies and individual members is the biggest trade association for the industrial, commercial and service enterprises of North-West Switzerland. The association provides major impetus for the wellbeing of the Region and acts as a connecting link to economy, research and authorities. The chamber of Commerce supports enterprises with their mission and represents their interest towards the State and the public. Its main purpose is political opinion-making for the benefit of the economy. To achieve this aim the Chamber of Commerce implemented its own commissions consisting of about 120 professional volunteers from its member companies developing strategic position papers and recommendations for the political decision-makers.
