The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) is Switzerland’s leading economic conference. The 25th edition of the conference will take place on 8 and 9 June 2023. Every year, more than 1000 leading personalities from business, academia, politics and the media meet in Interlaken for an active exchange of ideas and cross-industry networking.

The SEF was launched in 1998 by Stefan Linder and Peter Stähli. In just a few years, the conference evolved into Switzerland’s most important business event with an international reach. Headed by Corine Blesi, the management team also includes Dominic Lüthy (Director Marketing & Communication), Lukas Frösch (Director Entrepreneurship) and Lorenz Scheibli (Director Ecosystems).
The Swiss Economic Forum is operated by NZZ Connect. The branch of Neue Zürcher Zeitung AG in the canton of Bern was created in 2021 from the merger of Swiss Economic Forum AG with its long-time parent company NZZ and has its business headquarters in Bern.

The platforms and initiatives of the Swiss Economic Forum promote an entrepreneurial way of thinking and actively support startups. The Swiss Economic Award is presented each year at the SEF. It is the most important prize for young entrepreneurs in Switzerland and is awarded to the three most successful startups in three categories.
